You Will:
Qualifies new suppliers according to company standards and/or gets supporting documentation from existing suppliers to ensure the Approved Supplier List is maintained.
Monitors supplier performance from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur. This includes issuing Supplier Corrective Action Requests, directing and reviewing supplier activity through completion of Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Supports Supplier Change Requests to ensure that product design or manufacturing changes are qualified in accordance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company requirements.
Using the Production Part Approval Process generates PPAP requirements for new or changed supplied parts and works with suppliers to fulfill those requirements to ensure that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and/or services.
Evaluates suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback on assessment of their operation.
Provides Quality Engineering support to product development and changes working in partnership with the R&D Engineering and Post-Market Supplier Quality Teams, to deliver quality parts, materials, and services, prevent defects, and allows Medtronic to provide customers with the highest quality and reliability products.
Collaborates with R&D Engineers to develop and deliver the Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new and changed products.
Must Have:
Requires a Bachelors Degree of Science in Engineering and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or
Advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Nice to Have:
Lead Auditor certification
Manufacturing and/or design experience
Medical Device experience
