Veterinary Front Desk

Location: Scarborough, ON

Schedule: Full-time

Birchmount Animal Hospital welcomes a customer service-focused Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care to join our team. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities directly attributed to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated!  Additional qualifications and responsibilities required for this role are;

• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment 

• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively 

• Scheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patients

• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing payments

• Take initiative and work independently 

• A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset

• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas

• Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
