Job Description Summary:
A Sr. Manager, Quality and Food Safety Programs is responsible for the development, maintenance, auditing, and reporting of the organization's quality and food safety activities. This role will ensure programs are developed, maintained, and monitored is to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and the organization food safety and quality guidelines.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Develop, manage, monitor performance, and improve the organization’s quality and food safety programs, specific to all the products and processes.
- Monitor and audit the effectiveness of food safety and quality systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and organizational guidelines.
- Implement QFS strategies and policies to protect and enhance TCCC resources, assets, trademarks and corporate reputation.
- Lead QFS programs for the NAOU to included, but not limited to. Quality by Design, Technical Risk Assessment Framework, Product Integrity Program, Sensory Program, Quality 4.0, Cost of Quality and any other QFS programs required by the technical governance framework or manufacturing practices.
- Reporting the performance of food safety and quality systems to key stakeholders.
- Provide direction and leadership in areas of QFS to build a high-performing food safety and quality culture.
- Lead and coordinate activities for managing food safety and quality risks across operational units.
- Provide guidance, support, and organize training to key stakeholders on quality and food safety policies and global initiatives.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report quality and food safety performance.
- Support investigations into any customer or consumer complaints related to food safety and quality.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and third-party contractors to ensure quality and food safety programs are adequately managed and implemented.
- Continuously stay updated with new food safety regulations and quality practices, incorporating necessary and/or recommending changes into the company’s QFS program.
- The ideal candidate must have a degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. Certifications in food safety (such as HACCP) and experience in food safety and quality assurance in a food industry setting are highly preferred. Strong skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and regulatory compliance are key to success in this role.
Qualification & Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in food sciences, food safety, microbiology, or related field.
- Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, GFSI scheme audits are highly desirable.
- Extensive experience with QFS in food or beverage processing,
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations, quality and food safety program development and implementation are crucial for this role.
