About the role
<p>The Senior IT Manager at Omilia will be results-driven, highly technical, and passionate about modern IT infrastructures, with a strong security-first mindset. This role focuses on managing and securing user endpoints and implementing Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions. The Senior IT Manager will oversee IT operations within Omilia, a global organization with employees in over 20 countries. The position also involves close collaboration with the leadership team to implement IT strategies that align with the company's goals.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong></p><ul><ul> <li>Oversee the IT team's operations and the delivery of Omilia's internal IT help desk, with a focus on supporting remote users and managing user endpoints.</li> <li>Lead and manage the IT staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.</li> <li>Develop and implement IT strategies with an emphasis on SASE architecture to enhance security and access controls across remote and distributed teams.</li> <li>Ensure smooth rollout and ongoing support of enterprise-wide tools, especially those related to security and endpoint management.</li> <li>Regularly review endpoint infrastructure, assessing for replacements, upgrades, and productivity improvements.</li> <li>Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, particularly around automating endpoint management and optimizing remote access technologies.</li> <li>Manage and maintain the organization's SASE framework, securing connections to cloud services and internal systems.</li> <li>Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security policies, ensuring endpoint devices and cloud services are protected against threats.</li> <li>Ensure regular backup and recovery procedures are implemented for endpoint devices and critical systems.</li> <li>Identify and mitigate security risks across user endpoints, networks, and cloud services.</li> <li>Facilitate security audits, investigations, and evidence collection as needed.</li> <li>Define and track key OKRs and KPIs for IT performance, continuously improving endpoint management processes.</li> <li>Prepare progress and budget reports for upper management, particularly around endpoint security and remote access improvements.</li> <li>Actively contribute to hands-on IT operations, especially in managing endpoint security tools like MDM, CASB, and DLP.</li> </ul></ul><p></p><p><strong>Contribute actively and effectively as an integrated team member</strong> </p><ul><ul> <li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between IT strategy and overall business goals.</li> <li>Manage escalations and provide clear resolutions to endpoint-related issues.</li> <li>Act as a key contributor to the organization’s success by supporting other priority initiatives when needed.</li> <li>Represent Omilia as a tech ambassador, promoting best practices in endpoint security and modern IT infrastructure.</li> </ul></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, or related fields (Master's degree preferred).</li> <li>At least 6 years of experience in IT operations, with a minimum of 2 years leading IT teams.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in modern IT systems, especially those focused on endpoint management and remote support.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with SASE architecture, managing cloud-based services, and securing user endpoints.</li> <li>Knowledge in:</li> <ul> <li>Endpoint security tools (MDM, DLP, CASB)</li> <li>SASE implementation and cloud security</li> <li>Remote troubleshooting for diverse OS environments (Windows, MacOS, Linux)</li> <li>Network and cloud technologies (e.g., VPN, SD-WAN)</li> <li>Automation tools for IT operations</li> </ul> <li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.</li> <li>Experience in multicultural, distributed teams.</li> <li>Fluency in English (Greek a plus).</li> <li>Familiarity with security standards (ISO27001, SOC2, etc.) and certifications (ITIL-3, CCNA, etc.).</li> <li>Experience with agile methodologies.<br/><br/><strong>Nice to have:</strong> </li> </ul><ul> <li>Knowledge of virtualized environments (ESXi, Proxmox).</li> <li>Apple device management and asset tracking.</li> <li>Scripting languages (Python, Bash) for IT automation.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Fixed compensation.</li> <li>Long-term employment with the working days vacation.</li> <li>Development in professional growth (courses, training, etc).</li> <li>Being part of successful cutting-edge technology products that are making a global impact in the service industry.</li> <li>Proficient and fun-to-work-with colleagues.</li> <li>Apple gear.</li> </ul><p></p><p><em>Omilia is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
