About the role

Nijhuis Saur Industries is a global leader in water and wastewater treatment technologies, resource recovery, and sustainable energy generation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Piastów, Poland, supporting the development and execution of multidisciplinary water and environmental projects across Poland and the wider Central European region. The role involves full-cycle project management—from initial planning through design, procurement, execution, and commissioning—ensuring delivery meets quality, safety, budget, and timeline expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of industrial and/or municipal water projects
  • Managing internal engineering resources, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Coordinating design, procurement, and construction phases across disciplines
  • Ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Leading client communication and managing key stakeholder expectations
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks; proactively resolving challenges
  • Ensuring compliance with QHSE and local regulations
  • Supporting preparation of technical documentation and progress reporting
  • Assisting the business development and proposals team during tender phases

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in industrial, infrastructure, or environmental projects
  • Degree in engineering (e.g. civil, mechanical, environmental, process or industrial)
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater systems, treatment processes, or utilities infrastructure is highly desirable
  • Strong project coordination and team leadership skills
  • Ability to manage technical complexity and multiple workstreams
  • Familiarity with project management tools and standards (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, PMP/PRINCE2 methodologies)
  • Fluent in English; Polish required. Additional Central European languages (e.g. Hungarian, Czech, Slovak) are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across project sites in Poland and Central Europe
