Job Summary

The Sr. Government Property Coordinator primarily supports GAM’s Government Property Site Manager (GPSM).  That support involves helping align customer-site processes with the customer’s Government Property Manual (GPM’s) objectives and requirements and ensuring the ability to manage Government/Customer property at the site by contract. The GPSM acts on behalf of the customer site leader and ensures the responsibilities for Government/Customer property are clearly defined, communicated, assigned, and executed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine assignments and develop core job competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems.
  • Actively deploy Property Procedures and Policies in maintaining US-Government-approved business systems that are fully compliant with government, customer, and contractual requirements, as well as pertinent aerospace policies and procedures.
  • Abide by specific objectives or statements from contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs), contract deliverables, and outcome metrics.
  • Tactically support the responsibilities of property that impact the Aero site's business system compliance, which affects the ability of the site to qualify, perform, and invoice Government contracts.
  • Actively support the Customer sites’ Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) audits, and Self-Assessment requirements in accordance with the Property Outcomes and Requirements identified within the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically FAR 45 and 52.245-1.
  • Support Property objectives, work plans, and delivery schedules of Property Functions.
  • Actively build relationships and depth of knowledge within the government and customer asset management communities.
  • Actively support and ensure execution of corrective action plans.
  • Develop and prepare metrics and related reports (e.g., Property Management Self-Assessment data).
  • Support cross functional groups to assure Property Compliance Practices, Policies and Standards are adhered to.
  • Actively participate with customer-site stakeholders to implement process changes affecting cross functional groups.
  • Works cross functionally with customer custodians and coordinators to ensure they are following property procedures and performing their tasks per the guidelines. Supports the customer’s Property Coordinator/Custodian Committee meetings.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Typically requires an undergraduate degree and at least 2 years of government property management experience (FAR 45 and 52.245-1 requirements). In lieu of an undergraduate degree, at least 4 years of government property management experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance management software.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) certification (CPPS or CPPA)
  • Aerospace government property experience
  • SAP-user knowledge
  • eQUIP or AssetSmart or equivalent property-system user knowledge
  • Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) system knowledge
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
