<p>Ideal candidate will be based in Ohio with the ability to come into the Dublin, OH office monthly and quarterly.</p><p></p><p><b>What Risk Management contributes to Cardinal Health</b></p><p>Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.</p><p></p><p>Risk Management identifies property, casualty and executive risks, recommends risk transfer solutions and administers risk transfer programs. This family mitigates retained risk via loss prevention and loss control programs. This family also analyzes strategic, operational, economic, regulatory and compliance risks and facilitates mitigation strategies (e.g., business continuity) to address those risks.</p><p></p><p><b><i>Responsibilities</i></b></p><p>This role is as a member of the Risk Management team reporting to Manager, Global Risk Management to support various department goals and <span>objectives. This</span> role will specifically support The Specialty Alliance, a Cardinal Health subsidiary that supports independent specialty practices by providing the infrastructure, resources, and scale needed to grow while preserving physician leadership and clinical independence. Built for specialists, by specialists, we exist to empower the foremost physician-led groups in gastroenterology and urology-helping them thrive through scale, infrastructure, and innovation without compromising clinical independence. Following is a summary of the role:</p><p></p><ul><li>Collects, prepares and analyzes risk exposure data for various property and casualty insurance policies, including day-to-day management of the property and medical malpractice programs with multiple broker contacts and internal contacts</li><li>Becomes a subject matter expert as respects to the Risk Management Information System</li><li>Creates loss experience reports using the Risk Management Information System on a scheduled and ad hoc basis</li><li>Processes invoices, manages vendor payment profiles, and updates cash flow and accrual forecasts for Treasury and Accounting on a monthly basis</li><li>Supports captive insurance administration, including premium allocations and claim reimbursements</li><li>Recommends and implements process improvements and improves written procedure documentation</li><li>Completes assignments for risk management projects, including quarterly and annual internal and external audits, integration of acquired companies, insurance premium audits, and special projects</li><li>Provides back-up support when other Global Risk Management team members are out of the office</li></ul><p></p><p><b><i>Qualifications</i></b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience, preferred</li><li>1-3+ years of Risk Management, underwriting, brokerage, or related experience, with a preference of medical office insurance experience, preferred</li><li>ARM, CPCU, or other related risk/insurance designations, preferred</li><li>Strong analytical skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong planning and organization skills; attention to detail while balancing multiple deadlines</li><li>Self-motivated with a sense of urgency</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office; Expert or Advanced Excel skills preferred</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote setting with occasional in-office meetings</li><li>Risk Management Information System experience, preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Anticipated salary range</b><span>: $68,500-$88,020</span></span></p><p><span><b>Bonus eligible: </b>No</span></p><p><span><b>Benefits</b>: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.</span></p><ul><li><span>Medical, dental and vision coverage</span></li><li><span>Paid time off plan</span></li><li><span>Health savings account (HSA)</span></li><li><span>401k savings plan</span></li><li><span>Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay</span></li><li><span>Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)</span></li><li><span>Short- and long-term disability coverage</span></li><li><span>Work-Life resources</span></li><li><span>Paid parental leave</span></li><li><span>Healthy lifestyle programs</span></li></ul><p><span><b>Application window anticipated to close: </b>08/31/2026* if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.</span></p><p><span>The salary range listed is an estimate.
