The Opportunity – Union Operations Specialist

Wrapbook is looking for an experienced production payroll remittance specialist to administer timely and accurate remittances of benefits contributions and other withholdings. As a member of our Payroll Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in the review, administration and remittance of SAG-AFTRA payroll benefits and deductions per company standards. You will also respond to and resolve inbound inquiries from internal teams and external clients relating to remittances. Daily responsibilities will include executing SAG contribution adjustments, creating contract service letters, reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues. In addition to owning remittances you will partner with the product team to provide requirements to make the remittance process more efficient. This includes automating reports, automating manual processes and/or creating tools to improve your day to day. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail oriented, highly organized and analytical. SAG remittance experience is required with additional fund remittance experience as a bonus. 

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee and execute the end-to-end remittance process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of benefits contributions, and other withholdings to the appropriate entities.
  • Monitor and reconcile remittance data, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including payroll paymasters, operations, customer success and other departments to gather necessary information and resolve any remittance-related discrepancies or issues in a timely fashion.
  • Stay current on relevant compliance standards, and changes in remittance procedures to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll forms and fillings accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all remittance activities, payment receipts, and supporting documentation ensuring compliance with regulations related to remittances
  • Organize and maintain electronic  files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during payroll-related audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Continuously review and assess remittance processes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Share requirements with the product team.
  • Develop and document standardized procedures and guidelines for remittance activities to ensure consistency and minimize errors.
  • Collaborate, establish, and maintain relationships with third-parties such as benefits administrators to ensure seamless and accurate remittance processes.

What you’ll have:

  • 7+ years  in payroll operations, with a specific focus on SAG-AFTRA remittance. Additional fund experience is a plus! 
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and remittance procedures.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and other relevant tools including Google-Suite, Excel, Salesforce.com, etc. 
  • Positive, proactive approach focuses on getting the work down while partnering with teams to improve the day-to-day operations for remittance. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to an evolving environment
