Job Title: Senior Customs Import Compliance Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid; 3 days/ week onsite)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Customs Import Compliance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in customs compliance, import regulations, and international trade. This role is critical in ensuring our company's adherence to all applicable customs laws and regulations, optimizing import processes, and mitigating risks associated with global trade.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, including tariff classifications, valuation, country of origin, and duty drawback.

  • Documentation: Oversee the preparation and submission of import documentation, including customs declarations, invoices, and shipping documents.

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on customs compliance and import procedures.

  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with customs authorities, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in import operations.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

  • Regulatory Updates: Stay current with changes in customs regulations and ensure the company adapts to new requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in customs compliance, import regulations, and international trade.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCS, CCLS) preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import procedures.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficiency in compliance software and tools.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Licensed Customs Broker.
