Role and Responsibilities
This Manager level role will manage the marketing strategy and execution across all digital touchpoints for the Memory line of business. This includes social, CRM (Email marketing) and presence on Samsung.com in collaboration with the broader HE Integrated Marketing team, product marketing, global brand marketing, corporate marketing, and agency teams.
Strategy Development & Execution
Lead the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy for Samsung's line of Memory products including Internal SSDs, Portable SSDs, Memory Cards, and USB Flash Drives:
Gain a deep understanding of the products, market opportunities and challenges, brand objectives, and financial objective, and develop processes for collecting consumer insights to build marketing strategies
Set digital marketing goals and KPIs that align to business goals
Develop and secure budgets that support execution of the strategy
Gain alignment from all stakeholders including Executive Management, Integrated Marketing Management, Product Marketing, and Samsung HQ
Identify and lead the real-time optimization of marketing across all digital touchpoints
Partner with CRM, Social, and Samsung.com team to develop an annual Social/CRM/S.com strategy & roadmap calendar based on business priorities, campaigns, and product launch schedule
Explore opportunities for cross-product integration
Campaign Development & Execution
Assist and drive the creative development of consumer marketing campaigns:
Develop and deliver creative briefs
Manage consumer testing of positioning and creative concepts through final execution
Deliver insights, make recommendations and execute changes
Prepare decks and documents that help ensure alignment among internal stakeholders including executive management, Product team, HQ and others
Receive, catalog, and localize assets developed by the HQ/global marketing team to ready and deploy across the relevant channels
Align with Product Team on key priority SKUs, promo seasons/opportunities to promote
Work with social team to organize and maintain consistency on @SamsungUS social channels (YouTube, Meta, etc.) playlists, titles, tags, description, and more.
Ensure on-time Product Detail Page launches on S.com and Retail sites with approved messaging and assets
Provide content/messaging/placement guidance on Marketing Landing Pages, Product Category Pages, and promo/launch banner updates
Partner with digital team to integrate approved partnership/campaign/influencer assets across S.com, R.com, and Social channels
Marketing Program Management
Perform day-to-day management of budgets and own the financial approval process:
Create and submit project proposals into bid management system (BQMS)
Track approvals and suggest and approve vendors
Assist in the development of master budget. Track all accruals and changes/updates. Prepare updates to management
Manage marketing assets, ensuring availability of critical assets to partner internal teams, agencies and retailers
Skills and Qualifications
Background/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred) and 6+ years of relevant marketing & digital marketing experience
Demonstrated strategic planning skills, excellent communication skills with solid presentation skills, and decision-making skills
