As an Oracle Database Architect within PNC's Deposits and Consumer Datamart team you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Strongsville-OH, Birmingham-OH or Dallas-TX.

We are looking for an Oracle database architect/Oracle store procedure developer/query optimizer, able to import large text files efficiently, build automation in Linux to handle repeatable processes and work with contractors and coordinate tasks.

Skills/Responsibilities include:
- Will be part of team of Data Engineers to coordinate tasks and project deliverables.
- Act as an Oracle database architect, design tables, indexes, stored procedures.
- Oracle query optimizer, able to write efficient PL/SQL. Create and fine tune indexes to improve performance. Manage large data and optimize tables as needed.
- Ability to import large text files efficiently, familiarity with Informatica, sqlldr, sqlplus is a plus.
- Ability to build automation in Linux to handle repeatable processes. Ability to write Linux shell programs to manage automation.
- Expertise in programming in either Java or Python to use in report generation, automation, and improve performance
- Experience in other Data Technologies and Architecture is desired (Big Data/Hadoop, Data Fabric/Mesh, Object Stores, etc). Leverage this to define future vision and architecture.

Job Description

  • Designs, develops and optimizes data warehouses, with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture, to support business users and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Analyzes business intelligence data and makes recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration an application/business function.
  • Works with IT and business customers to capture requirements for designing the data warehouse architecture.
  • Provides support and technical guidance to ensure the solutions are aligned with the architecture and framework.
  • Leads and consults on the implementation and integration of data warehouses; ensures the solution meets organizational quality and integrity standards.
