Salary Range: $27.47 - $40.93 

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Under general direction, provides A/V and event coordination support for all centrally supported classrooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides A/V event support for all centrally supported college classrooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms.
  • Coordinates on-site events, including the distribution, set-up, operation, and return of multi-media equipment. Also provides support for events with outside service providers.
  • Implements audiovisual capture, editing, processing, and distribution for e-learning portion of designated events.
  • Utilizes various hardware and software to prepare e-learning materials for live or on-demand presentations. Performs post production as needed.
  • Provides video audio editing and video audio duplication in multiple formats.
  • Identifies equipment and functional problems. Provides routine equipment maintenance and escalates more complex cases to supervisor.
  • Maintains records and archives of all materials and communication.
  • Answers phones, responds to inquiries and triages calls to appropriate personnel.

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in providing A/V support 
  • Relevant educational background can be substituted for experience.
  • Knowledge of computer network operations is desired.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and prepared last minute solutions to real time issues is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to provide good customer service by anticipating client needs, being attentive during events, and by executing an appropriate contingency plan in case of emergency.
  • Computer skills in Mac OS X, Windows, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to set up standard AV equipment.

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands

    • This position requires full mobility and the ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds; Position requires videotaping of lessons or procedures occasionally in gross anatomy involving cadavers and working within patient care areas; Ability to work off-hours and weekends for events, as well as travel between office locations within NYC
