Key Responsibilities:
• Complete basic and advanced technician training modules to gain essential computer RX knowledge.
• Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction with pharmacy services.
• Answer phone calls and address inquiries that don’t require pharmacist expertise.
• Receive new prescriptions and process refill requests from prescribers.
• Gather and record necessary information to prepare prescriptions efficiently.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions by counting, pouring, and labeling medications.
• Maintain a well-stocked pharmacy department by ordering and checking-in supplies.
• Prepare insurance claims and confirm payment processing.
• Help patients locate over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
• Complete housekeeping duties within the pharmacy environment.
• Make deliveries to clients and manage payment transactions when needed.
• Engage in staff development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid pharmacy technician license in good standing with the appropriate board of pharmacy or application submitted.
