About the role:
The Associate Project Manager will be a leader of approved projects in the CIDO organization. These projects vary in size and scope and may include supporting business process improvements, service transitions & acquisitions, quality/regulation driven project work, as well as driving strategic and transformational changes. These projects often have a relatively high level of complexity and visibility throughout the organization. The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for leading diverse, cross-functional team(s) of professionals to evaluate, design, build, test and implement solutions to achieve the project goals. This role will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites across the globe, and engage stakeholders to develop individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver project results.
Responsibilities:
- Drive project execution by leading governance to review programs/ projects roadmap, resourcing, status, and escalate/ mitigate risks.
- Lead medium to large project teams to achieve timely project objectives.
- Enable individual and organizational change by engaging complex, global, cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization to realize project benefits.
- Define, monitor, and control scope through project governance forums.
- Create and execute project and communication plans with project teams.
- Develop and track project budgets.
- Manage resource needs. Build teams and guide members to define/ adapt roles and responsibilities throughout projects.
- Identify, manage, and communicate project risks.
- Continuously capture, apply, and share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
- Facilitate end to end process optimization workshops with Service Delivery and Global Process teams to drive strategic business priorities as needed.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of project leadership or PMO experience.
- 3+ years of Enterprise Process Improvement / Lean related experience.
- Occasional, limited travel (up to 10%) to other BSC sites, some international, may be required.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated project management and change management experience leading global, enterprise-wide project teams.
- Application of hybrid project management, lean business process improvement tools and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Ability to create an inclusive workplace across many global locations.
- High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
- Proven adaptability, comfortable with change with a demonstrated ability to react and respond to a fast-changing environment.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision, with the courage to make decisions, take ownership and hold team and oneself accountable to results.
