As our new colleague, you should be able to explore new technologies, design and develop innovative ideas from scratch, and drive new capabilities and infrastructure at scale for our products.</p> <h3><strong>What will you do?</strong></h3> <p>Your role will include end-to-end responsibility for new agent capabilities, starting with researching the landscape of new Linux-/Cloud-related security technologies, designing event tracing strategies and algorithms, and delivering them at scale. You could work across low-level Kernel hooks, to complicated user-space engines &amp; cybersecurity/anti-malware capabilities, to to product infrastructures, to Cloud and Kubernetes security-related features, as well as pure system engineering challenges.</p> <p>Your deliveries will enhance the security of different <a href="https://www.sentinelone.com/surfaces/cloud/" target="_blank">Linux and Cloud Workloads platforms protected by our product</a>, which serves thousands of users (from enterprise and public sector clients across the globe, including some of the largest companies globally).</p> <h3><strong>Your duties:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Software Development (70-80% of time) - we use C++23, occasionally also Rust and/or Go</li> <li>Write tests to cover new code</li> <li>Conduct low-level research and design new features</li> <li>Peer code reviews; Participate in the team’s design reviews</li> <li>Teamwork</li> <li>Learn new technologies in the Linux and Cloud workloads security domains (e.g. eBPF)</li> <li>Architect end-to-end security solutions for complex features with loose problem definition</li> <li>Support customers with issues and requests within the team’s domain</li> <li>Attend daily and weekly scrum meetings</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What skills &amp; knowledge should you bring?</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Multiple years of experience as a software engineer, developing complex systems in modern C++ (or in C and willingness to switch to C++)</li> <li>Proficient in Linux OS architecture and internals</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Linux low-level development and debugging</li> <li>Previous experience working on a production-grade product with a wide-scale deployment</li> </ul> <h4><strong>It’d be great if you have experience with / or you’d learn &amp; gain on our team:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience with Linux kernel development or kernel tracing</li> <li>Previous experience with eBPF, Linux networking subsystem, security-oriented development</li> <li>Hands-on experience with container platforms and orchestrators such as Docker and Kubernetes</li> <li>Previous experience with software development in either Rust and/or Go (we have several components in both) or Python</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Why Us?</strong></h3> <p>Join a cutting-edge company tackling extraordinary challenges alongside top industry talent.
