Role Purpose
The Staff Engineering & Support Technician provides technical support to the Engineering groups within the Transport Refrigeration Business, and is stationed in the Engineering Lab co-located with the OEM Factory. This position is for an individual who possesses excellent computer skills and good hands-on work experience. The technician will need to understand and perform tasks from written and verbal requirements; setup computers, instrumentation, test cells and equipment, and collect data that is useful in evaluating performance.
Role Responsibilities:
Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Apply skills to perform HVACR testing and troubleshooting on electromechanical equipment with the ability to analyze HVACR performance data to resolve most questions and problems.
The Technician must adapt to new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements and functions of the position.
This position requires a highly motivated work ethic and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Certification: Refrigerant Recovery, Brazing/Welding, Metal Fabrication, or Auto/Diesel Mechanics
5+ years of experience working with MS office applications, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
5+ years of experience working with Low voltage wiring and troubleshooting.
5+ years of experience working with HVAC systems, electronic/electrical troubleshooting, diesel engines or physics of power.
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration or related discipline.
Certification in Program Logic Controls, VB programming, or Auto CAD.
Experience with fork lift operations.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.Benefits
