A sign-on bonus of up-to $7,500 is available for this position.
Subject to applicable taxes. Paid 1/3 in first paycheck, 1/3 after 6 months, and 1/3 after one year with a 12-month commitment period. This bonus is not available to current UVM Health Network employees, or those employed within the last 12 months. Must sign an agreement acknowledging terms and conditions.
A relocation assistance bonus is available for eligible candidates.
Job Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, provision of supportive and restorative care, administering medication(s), and provide nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician or other health care provider. The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be responsible for: Monitoring that Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision; Supervise certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel Provide supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit health care team and services.
Job DescriptionUnit Description: Alice Hyde Medical Center is 25-bed acute care facility with an 11 bed Emergency Room. As an LPN on Med/Surg, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides high quality care to a diverse patient population. Nursing teams at AHMC have embraced a culture of safety, autonomy and collaboration.
Education: Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in New York State.
