What you'll do:

As a Loan Administration Specialist you will be responsible for assisting the Loan Administration Team in completing duties involved with the closing and disbursing of a variety of loan products in the Commercial Lending divisions of the bank.

What we are looking for:

• You will work closely with the business line and other third parties to assist in the facilitation of gathering the appropriate documentation and collateral information from the Borrower, verifying documents and researching information to prepare closing documents.   
• Responsible for supporting the Loan Administration Team in processing loan requests prepared by Lending Origination Officers.
• Assists in the preparation of loan packages for review by Documentation, Compliance and the Lending Origination Officer. 
• Works collaboratively with the team to ensure loan submissions comply with bank policies and procedures, and that completed loan documentation is accurate and properly maintained
• Assist in submitting files for boarding, including disbursements of loan proceeds; ensures all fees are properly and fully collected at closing.
• Participate in following up on post-closing exceptions and receipt of original signed documents.
• Scanning submissions for closed loans and original docs sent for sent to the vault for safe keeping.
• Key tasks include engaging legal counsel, KYC due diligence, opening deposit and bancontrol accounts, and post-closing following up. 
• Work with appropriate internal and external parties to assist in the resolution of any issues or obstacles related to closing loans.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Direct or related experience preferred
• Proficient in multi-tasking in a team oriented environment and focused on the highest standards of client service.
• Strong communication skills, especially speaking and listening skills (ex: customer service roles)
• Basic knowledge of banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services a plus.
• Basic knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
