Traveling at 50% of the time will be required.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Collect, analyze, and report data to assist supplier quality engineer and management in assessing measures of performance.
- Evaluate quality data collection systems and processes to determine whether these data collection processes adequately depict the quality of products and processes involving suppliers, manufacturing test and life cycle management.
- Support projects and processes that ensure continuously improving value to our customers and market segments.
- Create organizational value by implementing innovative solutions and best practices involved in all processes of the product realization value stream.
- Assist Supplier Quality Engineers with supplier requirements.
- Observe and identify improvement opportunities to Mission Assurance Engineering for discrepancy items and reporting.
- Verify process control activities and reports deficiencies as appropriate at suppliers.
- Assist Mission Assurance Engineers with root cause analysis investigations and corrective action development at suppliers.
- Support Mission Assurance Engineers in conducting Corrective Action Review Board activities with suppliers.
- Support Mission Assurance Engineers in conducting First Article Inspection activities with suppliers.
- Ensure team tasking with quality management and support staff to develop solutions to help manage variability at suppliers.
- Prepare and present data in management-level presentations.
- Support, communicate, re-enforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 3 - Bachelor’s degree plus Five years relevant experience or Nine years experience working with Supply Chain, ERP, MES, Purchase Orders, etc.
- Level 4 - Bachelor’s degree plus Eight years relevant experience or 12 experience working with Supply Chain, ERP, MES, Purchase Orders, etc
- Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to deal with problems involving inputs and variables throughout the processes.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret written procedures.
- Ability to follow standard work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and areas of focus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from area managers, vendors, and customers.
- General knowledge of quality management system
- 50% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of market segments.
- Knowledge of AS9100
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel
