About You
This is a great opportunity to apply and develop your financial analysis and communication skills to contribute to the effective strategic and operational financial management of the Tasmanian Government’s self‑insurance arrangement, the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund.
We are looking for a team member who is highly motivated and has the ability to manage outputs to meet strict deadlines. You will have sound judgement and be able to build productive working relationships and communicate effectively.
In addition to your financial management skills, you may have an understanding of insurance arrangements or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
Your success in the role requires:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and application of contemporary financial management practices.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial and non-financial information effectively and succinctly with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically; and identify, understand and explain problems and develop solutions.
- A high level of attention to detail, including well developed quality assurance practices.

About the Branch
Procurement, Risk and Contract Management Branch provides advice on and manages the Government's procurement framework and common use contracts. The branch minimises the cost of risk to government agencies through the Government Insurance and Risk Fund.
Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.
