General Ledger Specialist - GBS, WG4
Department: GBS-St.Petersburg
Location: St. Petersburg
Reporting to: General Ledger & Asset Accounting CPM Maria Protsenko
Role: temporary
What will you do - Responsibilities:
Check the completeness and correctness of FI/CO/AA requests submitted by business partners. Process journal entries in SAP system properly and timely.
Record all fixed asset related entries including asset card creation/change, capitalization of construction-in-progress, asset disposition and transfer, depreciation and amortization.
Perform month and year-end closing activities in accordance with closing schedule. Perform additional checks to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial results for month-end close. Review reports for high variations and investigate causes.
Communicate with business partners to fix issues if any. Support Market Finance in accurate and efficient maintenance of GL accounts and resolving of outstanding balancing issues.
Assist related departments on internal and external financial reporting, audit requests, accounting issues and queries, general support and other ad hoc projects as necessary.
Collaborate closely with related departments to ensure that FI/CO/AA activities are performed in full compliance with IFRS and local standards.
Work on process improvement projects.
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
University degree (Finance, Accounting, Economy, Business Administration).
Work experience in accounting or finance position at least 1 year.
Strong accounting knowledge.
Fluency in English.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, SAP knowledge is a plus.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work with large data volume, under tight time schedules and to handle multiple tasks.
Initiative to implement changes and curiosity to enhance knowledge and skills.
Team player with an ability to work in matrix organizations and with all stakeholder levels.
