PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

The Agronomy Administrative Assistant provides essential customer service and administrative support at a retail agronomy facility. This role involves direct communication with customers and employees, accurate invoicing, inventory management, reporting, marketing, and record-keeping.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, sales staff, and operations teams.

 

Process invoices, inventory, and customer purchases with accuracy and efficiency.

 

Utilize Agvance for Blend Tickets, Product Bookings, Delivery Tickets, and planning support.

 

Assist sales staff with precision farming programs and agronomy planning.

 

Maintain organized customer accounts and market data for easy retrieval.

 

Generate reports for sales, marketing, and management as needed.

 

Order and track agronomy products and office supplies.

 

Support day-to-day operations, including occasional local errands.

 

Cross-train for other administrative roles as required.

 

Perform other duties as assigned to support the facility.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Normally requires an associate’s degree in a business or agriculture related field or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of office related work experience.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

Ability to work with a variety of billing, planning and blending programs and be able to develop spreadsheets for other business functions.

 

While performing duties pertaining to this job, the individual may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
