Reporting to the Vice President, Tax, the Senior Tax Analyst is the primary point of contact for the company’s indirect tax matters, which requires applying specialized expertise to all aspects of the company’s business transactions. The incumbent’s core responsibilities include overseeing the indirect tax return process (sales and use tax, Canadian GST/HST, property tax, etc.), account reconciliations, managing indirect tax audits and assistance with tax planning projects, as needed. Additionally, the Senior Tax Analyst will assist in other areas of tax, such as federal and state income tax compliance and reporting.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee all aspects of indirect tax matters, including compliance, account reconciliations, audits, and business advisory.
- Research and respond to indirect tax questions from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain tax systems and ensures accurate transactional tax calculation validation.
- Evaluate and advise on vendor-billed sales tax and tax determinations on business purchases.
- Track and update exemptions certificates.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Payable and Customer Service Teams to ensure proper tax calculations.
- Own addressing indirect tax notices and the maintenance of the tax notice database.
- Support and implement process improvement initiatives within the Tax Department.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly estimated payments and annual income tax return filings for federal and state jurisdictions.
- Assist with the calculation of the income tax provision under ASC 740.
- Research and responds to income tax notices with assistance as needed.
