Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Welder. The Welder is responsible for assembling fabricated components for truck equipment together using appropriate tools and high heat, performing all welding operations on dump truck bodies within specified parameters.- MIG welds materials to join fabricated components for truck equipment on dump truck bodies using appropriate tools and welding equipment.
- Reads and interprets technical drawings, blueprints, and factory diagrams.
- Measures and cuts materials to specifications ensuring accuracy.
- Uses hand and power tools (including, welders, plasma cutters, saws, drills, sanders, files, and grinders) and available lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, jib hoists, jacks, and forklifts.
- Inspects grooves, angles, gap allowances, and related aspects of assembly to ensure conformance to specifications. Inspects finished work to ensure it meets specifications, is free of defects, and maintains structural integrity.
- Provides general shop support activities in support of welding projects, and assignments, assisting others when needed.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area, performing all work assignments in accordance with safety, security and business practice requirements, protocols, and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience and on the job training.
