SUMMARY 

Provides administrative support for functions within the Marketing, IT and LP departments. Tracks IT Helpdesk tickets, provides first-line IT helpdesk contact and/or dispatches IT support for assistance. Schedules and coordinates appointments, meetings and departmental activities, gives information to callers, and performs other administrative support functions. Assists with routine updates to the content of web pages, intranet and other documents. Routinely updates existing marketing materials and places orders for them.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Creates documents, slideshow presentations, spreadsheets and other office documents.


Places orders with vendors, printers or GWSNE purchasing. 


Procures and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies for Agency office equipment and IT needs, e.g. ink cartridges and office supplies for department personnel. 


Tracks IT Helpdesk tickets. Provides first-line assistance, as appropriate, and/or dispatches IT support as required. 


Maintains current information on Agency Website and Intranet, including providing assistance to department managers to add, delete or edit information.


Assists in the copy and content creation for mailings, flyers, newsletters, posters and other marketing materials.


Answers telephone and responds to emails and gives information to callers or routes to appropriate personnel.


OTHER DUTIES:

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS 

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instruction manuals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creative writing skills and use of proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have experience and proficiency with computer and internet technologies. Must have thorough knowledge of office applications. Google Workspace and Desktop Publishing experience, as well as experience to assist staff with basic IT training needs and troubleshooting is a plus.


SPECIAL CERTIFICATION/LICENSING

May be required to use a personal vehicle on occasion for business purposes. Must maintain current CT driver license, in good standing, registration and insurance coverage.
