Position Overview

 

Tilcon Connecticut seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee paving, milling, and DOT heavy and highway projects.  This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of construction operations. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery. The manager coordinates with various departments, including safety, quality control, and aggregate, to optimize operations. They also oversee compliance with DOT regulations and environmental standards. Additionally, the manager plays a key role in fostering a collaborative work environment and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to address daily operational challenges.  All Tilcon Connecticut employees are expected to partner with associates and management of Tilcon Connecticut Inc. establishing key internal relationships to coordinate, support, and actively promote our safety processes and keep safety embedded in the culture of our Company. • Manage daily paving, milling, and DOT Heavy & Highway projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and quality control
• Oversee operating budgets and costs, optimizing efficiency and profitability
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Coordinate with other departments, clients, and subcontractors to meet project deadlines and specifications
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance and productivity
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence
• Help establish production’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), interpret, and apply key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
• Build strong internal relationship, especially with the construction department, ensuring continuous collaboration delivering efficiencies and superior customer satisfaction.
