Intern Software Engineer

The Team:

Celonis AI Group (CeloAI) is dedicated to developing state-of-the-art AI/ML (and broadly intelligent) technologies for Celonis products (e.g., the Execution Management System / EMS) and empower enterprises and institutions to make intelligent business decisions and achieve operational excellence. Our dual mission focuses on both the immediate term goals of designing and implementing advanced AI/ML product features and solutions for our customers and the long term goals of establishing competitive advantages of Celonis for execution management.

We are a global organization with presence in both Germany and the US. CeloAI US has its main presence in New York, NY but also remote presences across the US.

The Role:

We are seeking motivated and talented software engineering interns to join our team.  The internship offers an opportunity to work on state-of-the-art software techniques, including but not limited to machine learning techniques, as well as real-world applications. The intern will work with experienced professionals to contribute to the innovative techniques and products.

As a software engineering intern, you are expected to design, write high-quality code that are closely related to Celonis products. You are expected to develop machine learning algorithms, models and systems for real-world applications. You may need to interact closely with other engineers to build scalable and high quality AI/ML features and solutions for our customers.

The work may span a few areas of software engineering, such as AI algorithm, infrastructure and applications.

The work you’ll do:

• Design and develop scalable and high quality software for Celonis products
• Initiate and lead efforts towards solving real world problems using softwaretechniques, including understanding the application requirement, identifying potential solution, and coming up with engineering strategies.
• Conduct innovative experiments on topics in software designing that can eventually be used in Celonis products 
• Document software engineering work and share knowledge with team members

The qualifications you need:

• Currently pursuing or has obtained a BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Proficiency in programming with Python and machine learning development tools/libraries.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to excel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Identify with the Celonis value of customer first, passionate about solving real world customer problems
• Passionate about developing scalable and efficient AI/ML related software

The base pay range below is for the role in the specified location, based on a Full Time Schedule.

Total compensation package will include base pay and sick time off. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
