Assistant Technical Project Manager

We have a rare opportunity for a multi-disciplined Assistant Technical Project Manager to be an integral part of our Operations Program Management (OPM) Team. Assistant Technical Project Managers are professionals who help plan and coordinate projects, tackle technical challenges and independently manage and/or escalate some of the necessary elements to ensure projects are completed on time.   Our Assistant Technical Project Managers show interest in learning demonstrated capabilities of organizing workstreams to enable team(s) to focus on the right work, with the right level of urgency. They use their past experiences to become more disciplined in change management, efficient and effective communication, project planning, project execution, and risk management strategies.   Our work is challenging, fun, and rewarding. • With the support of the Operations Program Management team, work directly with the Chief Operations Officer to Plan, execute, and track the progress of technical challenges and projects ranging in discipline throughout Operations and Engineering. 
• Coordinate and synchronize teams to design, build, test, and release scalable solutions and/or processes, acting as a Technical Project Coordinator for small projects and tasks assigned by the COO. 
• Coordinate cross-team efforts with project planning, collecting and communicating project or product history/data, and resource planning.
• Work with Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Technical Leads to align all stakeholders with the efforts of the COO and PMO. 
• Monitor, assess, improve, and communicate project status/performance to team members, peers, and leadership with a keen focus on scope, quality, schedule, and risk management.

  WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• An individual who is excited about professional growth, wants to learn more about project/program management and has the drive to do the work to efficiently grow into new opportunities.
• Self-starter and hardworking individual with 0-2 years working in a development or production environment, with demonstrated experience in hands-on projects; both personal and professional.
• A willingness to learn, share knowledge, and excited about teaching what’s been learned.
• Experience or willingness to learn tools (software and/or processes) applicable to common project challenges.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; able to build effective team relationships and efficiently mediate teams to achieve consensus.
• Some exposure to Microsoft Project or other project management tools is preferred.
• B.S. degree in a technical discipline or the equivalent in training and experience.
