Position Statement
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is seeking a highly motivated and visionary Senior Data Strategy Advisor to lead the agency’s data strategy and provide critical insights that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the Illinois Medicaid program. This strategic role will translate complex data into actionable recommendations that shape policy, enhance program performance, and improve service delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a powerful combination of strategic vision and technical expertise, using data to advance health equity and support HFS’s mission of delivering comprehensive, high-quality healthcare coverage to Illinois residents.

Duties to be Performed
- Develop an overall data strategy plan and roadmap for increasing maturity for the Agency working closely with the Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and other Agency leadership along with other critical and closely aligned agencies
- Collaborate closely with the Deputy Director of Strategic Planning to provide data-driven insights that guide strategic initiatives and program improvements
- Analyze Medicaid program data, including utilization, costs, outcomes, and population health metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
