Associate Director (AD), US Oncology Business Process & Forecasting Activation

Overview: The Associate Director, US Oncology Business Process & Forecasting Activation will be part of the Human Health Digital and Data Analytics (HH DDA) group, providing the US Oncology Leadership Team (OLT) with data-driven actionable insights that enable ongoing business performance management and help meet commercial objectives for all of Our Company Oncology Portfolio, inclusive of alliances partnerships,

More specifically, the candidate will support the following across Our Company's Oncology portfolio for the US Business Unit.

  • Be the US forecast activation lead by –

    • Work closely with HHDDA Forecasting team and US Oncology Finance stakeholders to support forecasting process for inline, pipeline and alliance assets in purview of US Oncology Business Unit.

    • Be the bridge for HH DDA US Forecasting team by partnering more actively with other HH DDA & non-DDA teams to help reduce the translation burden of Global guidance to US market forecast enablement

    • When required, develop forecast trending for mature tumors/brands to simplify and improve the accuracy of the foresting projections

    • Understand all tumor aligned forecasts, top-down forecast and forecast drivers for US Oncology.

    • Cycle over cycle, lead the standardization, summarization and socialization of forecast changes across tumors/indications, ensuring understanding/ alignment of changes across HH DDA.

    • Own change management in collaboration with HH DDA Forecasting team, when it comes to evolution of forecast build processes

    • Connect the dots across HHDDA on analog assessments that feed forecasting for new indications and launch

  • Provide US OLT consolidated monthly insights of national and tumor level performance trends as part of monthly business reviews. In preparation for these reviews, leverage and interpret available secondary data and use it to inform the business performance narrative

  • Systematize business performance deep-dives across tumors and enable adoption

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of quarterly Investor Relations (IR) deliverables working closely with US Oncology Chief Marketing Officer, rest of the US Oncology Marketing leadership and US Oncology Finance Lead.

The preferred candidate should be proactive with strong intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, consultative mindset, good understanding of healthcare & pharma marketing. The individual should be confident in interfacing with senior leaders and collaborating with / influencing many teams in a complex matrix business environment. Finally, the candidate should be comfortable dealing with unstructured problems as well as defining & evolving business processes, with minimal guidance.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated communication and leadership skills are critical in order to develop and present our business trends and results to US OLT and Finance Leads.

  • Ability to develop concise and decision driven presentations that will inform tactics and investment decisions made by the US OLT.

  • The candidate must have demonstrated client and project management experience, having to manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously and foster collaboration within HH DDA , Finance and US oncology marketing colleagues.

  • Since part of the role will also require development of hands-on analytics and enabling automation, the candidate must have a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operation Research, Data Science, Engineering or any Quantitative Decision field (Master’s Degree preferred).

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft  Excel, PowerPoint and other analytical tools such as Python, SAS, R is  a plus.

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in developing strategic insight for Senior leaders, as well as demonstrated hands on experience with forecasting/predictive modeling techniques in the Pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience and understanding of various 3rd party data sources, such as IQVIA , Komodo , Symphony patients claims data would be ideal but not required.

  • An understanding of analytics methodologies yet be able to elevate themselves and convey the recommendations in an easy to understand manner, rather than anchoring to the complexity of the analysis performed

  • Ability and experience to work across time zones, with teams in different work locations across continents
