Specialist, Merchant – US Retail: Become the Newest Member of Kontoor Brands
The Merchandise Specialist supports the merchandising team in planning and executing assortment decisions, as well as gathering and analyzing data. As a member of the merchanting team, this person will collaborate with multiple individuals and departments embracing teamwork in all areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates and processes assortment sheets in GDS for Direct To Consumer exclusive styles and 3rd party product buys.
- Creates visual selling decks by category to review at weekly and or monthly cross-functional best seller meetings.
- Creates visual decks of store assortment selects to share with cross-functional teams. For seasonal line reviews and update decks throughout the season as line edits occur.
- Tracks product in-DC dates for the next season.
- Manages samples needed for brand marketing, photoshoots etc. and coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate samples are available.
- Tracks production on DTC exclusive styles and 3rd party product buys.
- Submits assortments & listings, ticketing file & pricing file for order set-up in system.
- Create contracts for reservation of seasonal goods.
Skills for Success:
- Computer skills to include Mirosoft Office, specifically: Excel, Access and Power Point.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and others with whom the company conducts business
- Proven ability to communicate positively both orally and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and re-prioritization daily.
Experience/Education:
- 1-2 years of experience in ecommerce or retail apparel merchandising.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies, Business Management or Merchandising; or equivalent business experience.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
- Bend, lift, open and move products and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25 lbs., depending on need
Location:
- This position will be located at the Kontoor Brands headquarters in Greensboro, NC.
Reporting Relationship:
- This position will report to the Director of Merchandising.
