Technology Analyst Program - Data Science

Fiserv’s Technology Analyst Program is an early career development program where candidates experience two structured assignments within one specific track over a 2 - 2.5-year time period. Each assignment builds upon the other and together will provide a breadth of experience within Fintech and unique to you! We are looking for upcoming university graduates with drive, enthusiasm, and an evolving target for their careers. The best and brightest will be the framework of the firm’s future, a pipeline of top talent for positions in critical functional areas across the firm.

As a part of the Merchant Solutions – Fraud & Credit Risk, Decision Science & Risk Solutions team, you’ll be using internal and external data assets to generate insightful analytics, build AI/ML based models/rules, create data driven capabilities/solutions to manage risk and identify new areas of opportunity.  Key functions supported by the team include New Merchant Onboarding & Underwriting, Existing Merchant Risk Monitoring, Cash Advance/Lending Products, and other/commercial Risk Solutions. This position will be a critical interface with stakeholders within and outside Fiserv in building best-in-class analytical solutions.

What you will do:

  • Designing and implementing ML / predictive models by utilizing internal and external data available and applying statistical techniques.

  • Tracking and monitoring model performance and provide analytical support to business partners for addressing their questions regarding automated decisions or automated alerts through informed analytics.

  • Conduct complex analysis using statistical and other industry leading quantitative techniques.

  • Evaluating and integrating data from internal and external sources to support modeling, analytics, and reporting.

  • Supporting the transformation of risk data capabilities and decision systems through advanced and sustainable technology, new data sources and real-time decisioning.

  • Implementing models and decision rules in production in partnership with IT / deployment teams.

  • Develop documentation to support internal and external stakeholder requirements.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree completing in May 2025 in a STEM program.

  • 3.0 + GPA.

  • 0-2 years of professional work experience.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, SAS, Python, Excel or other analytical tools and/or open-source programming languages.

  • You must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

A range of college majors are considered based on specific needs of department such as: Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, but willing to train the right candidate.

Please Note: This role is fully on-site. Our Technology Analyst Program interview process begins in October and typically lasts through April for a June 2025 start date. You can expect to hear from one of our recruiters if your qualifications align.

Salary Range

$55,600.00 - $93,700.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
