Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $19.57 - $29.38/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

  • Oversight of the ordering, receiving, sourcing, estimating and distributing of parts for the Mechanic and Body Shops.
  • Monitor reports and processes that the Recon 360 system is being utilized to procure and reconcile purchases and returns of parts.
  • Verify through reporting that timely ordering and processing of purchase orders.
  • Monitor and verify that all inventory controls are maintained in all applicable systems.
  • Monitor and verify that all electronic records are being maintained in all applicable systems.
  • Verify inventories have been conducted at the end of the month and are in line with business needs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with parts suppliers and other vendors to ensure effective communications for business needs.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure appropriate business needs are met.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to communicate department needs and receive employee feedback on processes.
  • Provide weekly updates to location leadership on department successes and areas of opportunity that continue to be addressed.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Work with Recon manager and shop managers to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement.
  • Wear and always use appropriate safety equipment while working in designated areas.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with Market Safety Manager in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;
  • OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of condition report data and vehicle inspection process to identify previous paint, auto body repairs, frame damage, PDR, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills preferred.
  • Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmission is preferred.

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
