Director Procurement

Location Details: USA Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.​

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

Our Global Procurement team sits within GoDaddy's Finance Organization and is led by our Chief Procurement Officer. We demonstrate category and industry specific knowledge and supplier relationships to generate savings, build value and revenue improvements, with the mentality of doing what is best for our customers whilst mitigating risk. • Development of procurement strategies for supplier contracts
• Creation and ongoing management of short, mid, and long term goals and objectives
• Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
• Partner with the selection and management of procurement systems
• Leadership of cross-functional teaming across other business functions and initiatives
• Budget management for specific categories
• Development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement

Your experience should include...

• 5 +years in a senior procurement role in a global organization
• Track record of efficiently implementing procurement initiatives; including achieving savings targets, crafting sophisticated deals, and delivering operational improvement
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract agreement and management, supplier performance and relationship management, and category management
• Deep knowledge of regional supply markets
• Validated understanding of business, financial, and economic ramifications of various procurement actions and alternatives to recommend appropriate action
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to distil sophisticated issues
• Quickly, efficiently communicate strategies, and summarize key points and implications
• Strong Project Management skills with strong experience in leading and driving multiple, large-scale initiatives

You might also have...

• Excellent team-player at executive levels, able to collaborate with business divisions and functional partners including IT, Finance, Human Resourced, Legal, etc
• Highly influential across Business Divisions (not just their own); Drives standard processes and provides leadership across functions
• Proven understanding of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management
• Broad industry knowledge on the buy-side (and the sell-side), but also the internal knowledge and “language of the business”
• Excellent communication skills and even better listening skills that allows the Director to get the “voice of the internal customer” and to understand the company culture and how to best communicate procurement’s value
• Ability to “sell” procurements value and to run procurement as a services business
• Knowledge of enterprise and third party risk management and business continuity planning
• An analytical mentality with an emphasis on creativity, working to solve business problems
