Job Description

CEC Entertainment, the global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper restaurants, is seeking a Field HR Generalist to join our team.  This position is based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX.

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing a wide range of HR support and guidance on human resource initiatives. 

Essential Key Functions Include: 

• Supports leadership and employees.
• Ensures completion and compliance of HR required training (reporting, follow up, etc.) for area of responsibility.
• Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
• Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Becomes a trusted advisor in all areas of HR including talent acquisition, compensation, organizational effectiveness, training and development, etc.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Handles all exit interviews, including involvement in termination conversations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of HR generalist experience e.g. employee relations, labor law, recruiting or other areas of Human Resources
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
• HR Certification a plus

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be proactive and resourceful.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials and communications as well as develop and deliver polished presentations.
• Strong organization and detail orientation with ability to manage projects and timelines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Limited travel as needed.
