Job Description: 
We are seeking multiple master’s level graduate student employees for the Bridges to Belonging project focused on equipping churches to welcome and embrace youth and young adults (ages 13-25) who experience disabilities, mental health challenges, and/or chronic illnesses. This five-year grant funded project is a partnership among George W. Truett Theological Seminary, the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities (School of Education), and the Center for Church & Community Impact (Diana R. Garland School of Social Work). The principal investigators are Drs. Angela Reed (Truett), Erik Carter (School of Education), and Gaynor Yancey (Social Work). The Program Manager for the Bridges to Belonging project (Elyse McMullen) will oversee the work of the graduate students. We will hire multiple graduate students who will work individually and in a team environment, meeting regularly with the Program Manager for collaboration and direction.

Qualifications
•    Must be a master’s level graduate student at Baylor University (Truett Seminary, Social Work, and School of Education students preferred) 
•    Must have availability to work a portion or all of the hours in-person
•    Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively 
•    Commitment to detail and intentionality in work
•    Strong written communication skills and grammatical proficiency
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse church communities
•    Experience in data collection, analysis, or literature reviews preferred

Responsibilities may include all or some of the following:
•    Conducting literature reviews and/or annotated bibliographies 
•    Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data 
•    Conducting interviews
•    Managing, organizing, and reporting data and findings 
•    Finding, reviewing, and vetting current literature, both academic and practical 
•    Identifying and connecting with organizations and networks committed to this work
•    Developing and formatting resources for church partners 
•    Reviewing and implementing Advisory Team suggestions of resources and organizations
•    Connecting partner churches with resources and organizations 
•    Engaging with partner churches to learn more about their community and efforts
•    Visiting partner churches in Central Texas to learn about them and provide support
•    Communicating with churches regarding upcoming gatherings and learning opportunities
•    Fielding questions and supporting churches alongside the Program Manager
•    Some evening and weekend work may be required
