About the role

Provides quality nursing care for each resident in accordance with nursing standards of practice. Maintains collaborative relationships with other nursing staff members, physicians, and ancillary staff to provide this care. Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education/inservice programs and self-development activities.
na Qualifications EDUCATION: Minimum: • Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing LICENSE: Minimum: • Current New York State licensure or permit. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: • BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred: • Long Term Care and/or leadership experience SKILLS: Minimum: • Demonstrated leadership abilities. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Preferred: • CPI, Dementia Specific Caregiving course
