What You’ll Do

As an Associate Manager for Memory products you will be based in Houston, TX, and be responsible for managing end-to-end sales activities using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence our customer’s business and to assist them in applying our products/services for their needs, resulting in revenue growth.

Location: Onsite at our Houston, TX office 3-5 days a week. A significant amount of time will also be spent meeting onsite with our customer at their local facilities.

Reports to: Senior Director, B2B Account Sales

  • Oversee all aspects of sales and marketing activity for the assigned account, including forecasting, PO placement, supply availability, credit management, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate business opportunities. Drive towards the optimum outcome for both parties to create a mutual win-win business environment.
  • Coordinate WW sales activities with the support team in the US and Korea and regional teams to ensure optimal allocation of available supply to meet customer demands.
  • Proactively work with engineering, quality, and marketing resources to identify positive opportunities and to avoid negative impacts to the business.
  • Prepare and distribute reports that accurately capture and convey to management the status of the business at the customer and highlight issues that need resolved in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ownership and understanding of the assigned account with proactive communication and active coordination with management and internal teams to resolve open issues.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

 What You Bring

  • Bachelors with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters in Business or Engineering related Discipline with 3+ years related experience.
  • Sales experience in semiconductor industry or related technical field (memory preferred).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of market trends and competitor activities at the customer and how it affects the Samsung position; propose actions to take advantage of or mitigate as needed.
  • Regular Domestic and International travel for customer meetings.
  • Experience managing in a complex, high value, dynamic sales environment.
  • Analytics and tools, such as excel and CRM and demonstrated negotiation skills in complex sales environment.
  • Key Account Management and Program Management experience a plus.
