Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the following technologies with expert knowledge: BGP, DMVPN, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, QoS, PBR, VSS, HSRP, STP, Cisco Meraki stack, WAN Optimization technologies, and Cisco Nexus.
Transport-layer engineers to validate a customized, metered approach to modernize and enhance functionalities such as IPv6, SIP, and H.323, as well as other industry best practices.
Possess the knowledge and technical understanding to maintain and improve existing protocols such as QoS, Metro-Ethernet, and SONET technologies for CONUS and OCONUS locations. Experience with initiatives such as the Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN), Layer 2 Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), cloud hosted Equinix sites.
Work with vendors such as Cisco, Infoblox, and Palo Alto. Support high availability LAN/WAN planning. Automate advanced routing capabilities, WAN path control remediation solutions, and customized price-to-performance cost-savings data.
Investigate the USCIS WAN and develop new solutions, specifically taking advantage of new technologies that embrace software defined networks, to include policy-based routing.
Design and engineer IPv6 implementation and support strategy. Strategy shall include migration of all devices, sites, and applications. Design and Architect a new Private IP WAN solution.
Establish an efficient and effective repeatable methodology for architecture and engineering solutions from concept to delivery of operations. Responsible for architecting, engineering, and maintaining cloud direct connects and third-party interconnects where needed. Provide recommendations for new products and technology for supporting all layers of the IT infrastructure architecture.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 + years of experience.
Experience designing, engineering and designing solutions with a security mindset
Experience with major cloud providers AWS, Google or Azure.
Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field.
One or more relevant industry certifications such as CCIE/CCNP.<
