Senior Product Designer

About the role

At Lunar we are democratizing the power of money and changing the way we all bank, pay, and invest. Since starting in Aarhus in 2015, we've grown rapidly and are now a major player in the Nordics, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm 🚀

So who are we? Are we a tech company or a bank? Well, we're both, breaking free from the usual categories. At Lunar, tech isn't just a cool add-on; it's the core of how we do things. With our own banking license, we go head-to-head with traditional banks. What sets us apart is the mix of tech and financial services, giving us the power to shake up a dusty industry that's ready for a change.

The opportunity

As a Senior Designer at Lunar, you will work as part of a cross-functional product team, where you will be the go-to expert in understanding our users. Your insight will shape strategy discussions and influence business objectives, aiming to solve genuine user challenges.

You will lead the research and design process from start to finish, championing collaboration at every step of the way. Starting from discovering user needs via research and data insights to organising and facilitating ideation sessions with stakeholders and colleagues and then prototyping and validating these ideas with real users. Your work will culminate in ongoing measurable product improvements that address key user and business success metrics and goals.

If you are passionate about designing innovative products that solve genuine user problems and want to be part of building the future of banking, come and join our growing design team in Aarhus.

What will you do?

  • Plan and conduct user research with assistance from research specialists to collect user insights through qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Analyse research and data insights to identify user pain points and opportunities that can inform the product strategy and become measurable business objectives.
  • Plan and facilitate the product discovery process through workshops and other activities, actively involving relevant stakeholders across the organization.
  • Create high-quality design artifacts such as user flows, experience maps, information architecture proposals, interactive prototypes, and interface designs to drive solutions through the product design process.
  • Work in the open and collaborate closely with colleagues in your team to bring everyone into the design process and seamlessly integrate product, design, and development.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, marketing, and business stakeholders to continuously challenge, define, and evolve the product strategy.
  • Provide honest, insightful, and inspiring feedback to the broader design team and other colleagues across the organization.
  • Be an advocate for the design process within your team and across the business.
  • Co-define how business and product success metrics are measured through user-centered and data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate closely with other business areas including marketing and customer service to ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience.
