Vanderbilt Home Care Services is hiring a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients in their homes throughout Rutherford County Tennessee. For more than forty years our team has helped patients regain independence where they feel safest. Position Details
Schedule Part Time 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Territory Rutherford County, Tennessee
Setting Home Health provides one-on-one care in the community

Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Support patients with self-care, mobility and daily living skills
• Deliver care plans and document patient progress
• Communicate effectively with therapists, nurses, and the care team
• Promote patient safety and independence in the home environment

Qualifications
• Active Tennessee Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Home health, acute care, or rehab experience preferred
• Strong communication and time management
• Commitment to patient-centered care

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Rehab PTA/COTA Patient Documentation (Novice): Demonstrates sufficient proficiency in communicating functional impact of assessment findings, treatment interventions, treatment planning diagnosis, and disease process. Considers the communication needs/level of understanding of audience and may share appropriate information/literature.

  • Treatment Implementation (Novice): Demonstrates proficiency in providing treatment consistent with physician prescription and established plan of care. Able to modify treatment plan as needed to demonstrate provision of skilled therapy services including progression of treatment throughout course of care, and revision of treatment interven
