About the role

As an ideal candidate, you will come with a proven track record of building and leading high performing teams. You will provide coaching, leadership and guidance to a newly formed team that you have built out. You will be critical in forming this new team, creating the vision and mission of the team, and seeing them through launching a new onboarding model and training function within OCI data centers.

You will lead a team of instructional designers, training coordinators, and program managers located in sites across the U.S. You will have experience managing widely dispersed teams. You will have experience in performance management, establishing clear, measurable goals for both individual team members and the broader team, ensuring these objectives are aligned with OCI’s strategy. You will implement processes to monitor progress, assess performance, and maintain accountability across the team.

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead and implement a core and consistent onboarding experience across multiple sites and will work with stakeholders across the OCI business and Human Resources to pull together a scalable and comprehensive training plan, progression and milestone targets for new hires, and an effective training delivery model to ensure adoption of training across sites with varying operating models and expectations.

As you are launching a new program and team, you will see a mixture of leadership and individual contributor work while the team grows. You and your team will effectively communicate project status, decide tradeoffs for competing priorities, and demonstrate ‘act now and iterate.’ You will lead executive meetings, implement a stakeholder engagement model, and set the strategy for the organization.

Specific responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

· Creating a new team: You will hire for and build out a new team from the ground up, encompassing instructional designers, trainers, training coordinators, and program managers.

· Strategy: You will set the vision, strategy and goals for this organization, both individual and team-level goals.

· Deliverables: Your team will create a scalable, core and consistent onboarding experience for data center hires from all varying backgrounds and experiences. You will consolidate existing training content, and create new content where needed, for general data center onboarding as well as role specific training/support. You will create, launch and maintain a training delivery model for OCI data centers, supporting a trainer network, and coordinating with recruiting on hiring cohorts/start dates to best support classes of new hiring joining the organization on a regular basis.

· Expansion: After initially rolling out the program, you will take learnings and feedback to support expansion of this onboarding model to existing and new sites for OCI data centers globally.

· Stakeholder Relationships: You will collaborate with and build relationships with stakeholders from front-line managers to executives across OCI, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.

· Leadership: You will implement success metrics and KPIs for a newly formed team.

· Travel Expectations: You may be required to travel quarterly to OCI Data Center sites across the U.S.
