Position: Medical Director - Hospice and Palliative Care
Location: Richland, WA 99352
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Anticipated Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5:00 pm with on-call (AOC) rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Overview:
The Medical Director at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and providing medical direction to the agency's hospice and palliative care programs. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care and the delivery of compassionate, comprehensive end-of-life care to patients and their families. The Medical Director will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, maintain clinical excellence, and uphold the organization's mission to provide comfort, dignity, and support to individuals in their final stages of life.
Requirements
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with an active and unrestricted medical license.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and compliance with regulations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment drug testing, which includes cannabis testing in WA State.
Preferred Position Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred.
- Experience in hospice and palliative care, along with a demonstrated commitment to compassionate end-of-life care.

Compensation
Pay Range: $214K - $407K
Annual Bonus considered and dependent on agency viability - 1%-5%

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish salary ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.
Benefits
· Mileage Reimbursement: $0.67 per mile, for eligible positions.
· Vacation: Accrual of hours each pay period based on hours worked.
· Wellness Days: After the 90-day introductory period, eligible employees can convert up to two sick days into wellness days.
· Annual "Yay Day": Full-time employees receive 1 paid day off every January to volunteer in the community.
· Bereavement Leave: 3 days of bereavement leave after the introductory period for the loss of an immediate family member, household pet, or service animal.
