About the Role:

As a Senior Data Solutions Developer specializing in Data Visualization at Hims & Hers, you will have the opportunity to shape and expand our analytics capabilities across the company. In this key role, you will help standardize and scale our data products, ensuring trusted, accessible, and visually compelling insights for stakeholders — empowering the organization to make well-informed, data-driven decisions. As a fully remote position, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Data Solutions, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. You Will: 

• Design and deliver visually stunning, intuitive Looker dashboards and reports that communicate complex insights to executive and cross-functional audiences

• Build and maintain a unified dashboard suite that tells compelling stories and highlights performance trends and opportunities empowering our stakeholders to make informed business decisions

• Translate stakeholder needs — from marketing to operations to finance — into meaningful, action-oriented visualizations

• Apply best practices and design principles to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability of our dashboards

• Continuously improve and refine existing Looker dashboards and reports to enhance their visual appeal and effectiveness in communicating insights

• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure data integrity, model reliability, and optimal dashboard performance

• Support the Finance and Accounting teams by developing dashboards focused on financial reporting accuracy, investor relations KPIs, and audit-ready data outputs

• Implement data quality checks and monitoring for critical metrics that impact quarterly financials, investor reporting, and revenue recognition

• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data visualization techniques, tools, and design principles

At a Minimum You Have:

• Demonstrable expertise in data visualization (minimum of 3+ years of experience)

• Minimum of 3+ years working with Looker or a related BI software and a strong understanding of their features and capabilities

• Excellent knowledge of data visualization best practices, design principles, and usability concepts

• Ability to transform complex datasets into clear and concise visualizations that effectively convey insights.

• Expert level SQL (3+ years experience)

• Experience partnering with accounting, finance, or investor relations 

• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and delivering insights that support strategic decision-making

• A passion for Business Intelligence (frontend and backend).

A Big Plus If You Have:

• External reporting experience

• Experience as a developer using Javascript, React or D3. 

• Have a deep understanding of Looker and have created Looker Extensions/Applications

• Familiarity with investor relations metrics, board reporting, or supporting financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions

• Extensive experience working with Data Engineering
