Assistant Coach - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (part-time/temporary)

General Summary of Position:
This position will help the head coach oversee all aspects of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club. The coaches will work with team captains to facilitate practice plans and teach drills. They will teach strategy, attend every practice or competition, and the coach will help manage team dynamics. The coach will also work with the club’s executive board, who oversee all scheduling and fundraising efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide skill development for college students and cater to a variety of skill levels
- To organize safe and appropriate sport sessions
- To supervise/mentor/guide the participating members of each club
- Attend all team practices and games
- Duty to act in an emergency by performing emergency evacuations; provide First-Aid, CPR, AED based on current certification
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Previous experience in coaching or participating in specific sport
- Flexible, availability and high level of responsibility
- High school diploma or GED/ equivalent
- First-Aid, CPR, AED, & Blood Borne Pathogen certifications- must receive within 90 days of starting.
This position is 4-6 hours/week and $15/hour
