River Region Psychiatry Associates, a leading mental health provider in the Southeast, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Social Worker or Counselor (LICSW/LPC) to join our dynamic team in Gadsden, Alabama. This role focuses on providing outpatient therapy with an exciting potential opportunity to collaborate with social workers serving the Etowah County Jail population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for outpatient clients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to clients’ needs.
• Coordinate care and provide resources for clients, including discharge planning and referrals.
• Possibility of working with incarcerated individuals through collaboration with the Etowah County Jail’s social work team.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Active and unrestricted LICSW or LPC license in Alabama.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals in correctional settings, is a plus.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

Experience

• Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting

License

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or 
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
