Job Description

This role is responsible to support the different roles from the prototype organization focused in the following areas:

  • Samples Coordination:  Support with the preparation activities for the planning, build and delivery of the samples.
  • Engineering Activities: Supporting Quality and Engineering Prototype Roles with the execution of tasks during the assembly, testing and quality check of the gear.

Additional activities for this role are the evaluation and implementation of processes improvements for the prototype area and other areas from the Testing and Validation department.

Tasks

Project Management Related Activities

  • Support the phases of the prototype process with cost calculation, risk evaluation, timing, problem solving, and documentation based on guidance from the project responsible.
  • Support the logistics of shipping and receiving components and finished products for processing of customer deliveries.
  • Supporting with parts cycle counts to ensure accuracy of physical inventory versus stated in our system.
  • Leading small internal projects for process improvement or lab
  • Process and customize data for KPI reporting to the organization.
  • Support Material coordinator with logistics activities for incoming material and finish good deliveries.
  • Documentation and update of processes and training material for the AS organization related to samples.

Engineering Related Activities

  • Support for documentation and/or execution of small quality check for incoming material or final product.
  • Lead process improvements initiatives for the Prototype lab area.
  • Support with Technical check reviews from the ongoing prototype projects.
  • Support with relabeling of gears as preparation shipment to customer.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree with at least one semester completed.
  • Ability to work 30 - 40 hours per week.
  • Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work with intercultural and virtual teams
  • Open minded and communicative
  • Willingness to work independently in a given framework
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
