THE JOB:
The Manager of Security Operations is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient operation of their assigned property, venue, and/or shift security team to maximize the safety of employees and guests. They will oversee security direction for all special events or critical incidents for their assigned MGM Resorts International property or venue.


THE STARTING RATE:
The starting compensation for this role will be $80,000k annually


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee Staff: Manage security and support staff daily by creating schedules, assigning tasks, covering shifts, handling payroll and time off, training team members, reviewing performance, and addressing discipline issues when needed.
  • Build Strong Teams: Hire, train, and mentor staff; give regular feedback and performance reviews to help them grow professionally and create a positive, respectful work environment.
  • Ensure Compliance: Make sure the team follows company policies and all laws. Share updates to policies and suggest ways to improve them when needed.
  • Achieve Goals: Use feedback and data to improve safety and guest satisfaction while working toward department goals.
  • Provide Guest Support: Address guest questions and concerns directly or by involving the right team or department.
  • Handle Emergencies: Take charge during critical situations, lead the response, and set strategies until higher management or law enforcement arrives.
  • Other Duties: Be ready to handle additional responsibilities as assigned.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Direct security experience in a high-end resort/casino environment or law enforcement and/or military experience, with previous supervisory experience or in a team leader capacity
  • Highschool Diploma or GED is required
  • Prior management or supervisory experience managing a team of at min 10 employees. 
  • Experience with computers and ability to use with ease and normalcy. 
  • Respond to guest and employee emergencies and reported threats, document incidents and ensure proper escalation for reporting and resolution purposes
  • Oversee and manage employees assigned to his/her shift
  • Act as a liaison with the appropriate outside agencies during security incidents
  • Able to obtain SPO qualification through MGM, able to obtain Maryland Wear and Carry license, along with Maryland Gaming license.
  • Creating employee schedules, implementing approved procedures, training and evaluating officers, enforcing policy and administering discipline and coaching as needed; plan, develop and direct staff, work assignments and station coverage

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum - Maximum

$68,600.00 - $114,300.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.
