Scope of Position

The Financial Services department provides financial reporting and analysis to all business units and departments within The Ohio State University Health System.  Within Financial Services, the Senior Financial Analyst will work with the pharmacy finance and accounting group which provides monthly financial and statistical reports, capital expenditure tracking and general ledger system support.  The Senior Financial Analyst will also support the development and maintenance of  processes and systems connected to pharmacy operations, such as budgeting, cost accounting, decision support and net revenue accounting.  

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst has responsibility for providing the services noted in the Scope of Position. The position is committed to supporting and implementing policies, procedures and systems to analyze and optimize pharmacy financial operations. The Senior Financial Analyst will work with the Director of Finance for Pharmacy to ensure month and year end financial statement close schedules are maintained, complete an annual budget and will also support the development of a five-year financial forecast each fiscal year.  This position is committed to developing comprehensive and complex financial analysis of programs and projects, which incorporate knowledge and understanding of pharmacy operations. This position will provide historical trend information while monitoring impact of changes in relevant industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration and 4 years of financial data analysis experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
