Electrical Supervisor

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor is a key member of the maintenance team and is responsible for leading the electrical maintenance team to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment within established budgets and in a manner that conforms to all applicable codes and regulations and meets or exceeds planned safety, maintenance, quality, recovery, and production targets to ensure that production is optimized. The successful candidate will demonstrate an awareness and commitment to safe work practices, be team oriented and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and promote a safe and positive working environment for all employees under his/her direction
- Ensure that the established safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance objectives are met or exceeded on a consistent basis
- Provide leadership, guidance and promote open communication for all employees on their shift. Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and repair costs
- Train and educate employees, design work schedules and delegate responsibilities
- Document and schedule predictive, preventative and corrective equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental regulations
- Prepare various reports for distribution to management
- Assist in the planning of down days and annual maintenance shuts
- Responsible for the electrical work execution in the assigned area
- Order parts and materials as needed
- Work in conjunction with other maintenance teams and technicians to reduce unscheduled downtime and resolve equipment problems
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Maintain high standards of work performance and correct behavior as required
Required Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of Plant equipment and operation
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Expertise in electronic maintenance systems
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician with a specialized skillset in PLCs
